RED POST HEADLINES
May 2006 This month saw convention videos for Las Vegas, Baltimore, Boston, Denver, Toronto and more. We work with convention bureaus, tourist boards, and local governments to provide detailed information about what makes each city vibrant and unique. Our in-depth development and research does not stop at the city level, however. It is important to make sure your conference attendees not only have a good time in the host location and know all the special attractions, but it is more important that they know just what is going on at the convention itself. To those ends we work closely with our clients to highlight key events and times in the videos we produce, as well as getting everyone buzzing about the convention as a whole. This allows your clients to walk away from your opening session both curious and excited, ready to learn and grow. And don't forget our breathtaking "Year in Review" videos that serve not only as a look back on world events, but bring a great amount of pride to employees and attendees alike. In other news this month was the studio production of the previously mentioned DVD for the AAO. Thanks to the patience and hard work of all involved, and some incredibly prepared talent we managed to pull off the recording of what will amount to almost three hours of a final product into one shooting day, utilizing over 4 different sets! You can't get any better than that. Half a country away, we were simultaneously working with our sister company AVMG in recording an entire weekend of seminars for the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. These videos will now be edited into teaching programs, and distributed on everything from DVD to interactive CD to audio cassette. These are just a few of the multi-platform services we can provide you and your company.
April 2006 An oversight during the updating led to some images to be offline for a while. This has been fixed. Meantime we're working overtime to get videos ready for the upcoming intense amount of April and May conventions, to help make our clients look their best. We've also seen a great amount of walk-in jobs this month for everything from conversion to DVD, to inserting titles, to label design. Remember no job is too big or too small, so never be afraid to give us a call for a quote.
March 2006 We've Finally managed to incorporate some long overdue updates to the site here. First off, you'll notice right away the addition of two new buttons to our navigation pillar. The first addresses a need we've recognized to separate our corporate production samples from those that were for brodadcast television and/or public distribution. We've also added new video clips to both the samples page, and the new NAV Productions page. The second button is a long overdue direct link to our downloads page. On that page you will find both new and updated templates, files, and guides that will help you prepare in advance when working with RED POST, saving you both time and money. On the Production end, we've got our annual convention rush starting up. We are (as always) pleased to help out our long time friends and associates at The American Board of Orthodontics, as we once again commence a full studio production and creation of a corporate DVD for their members.
February 2006 Two new Projects this Month at two entirely opposite ends of the spectrum. We've begun production on an informational piece for the Surgeons of Hope. This non-profit organization's main goal is to build hospitals in third world countries, and then send doctors, nurses and specialists to train the local physicians in the latest available equipment and techniques, bring hope and salvation to those who would otherwise have no chance and better the lives of those around the world. The video highlights the organizations recent effort in Cambodia which has helped to save the lives of children with heart disease, who otherwise would never have had a chance. On the flip side, we've also produced an entire series of videos for the Dallas Christian School's year-end and commencement celebration. This year's guest speaker was Col. Oliver North, who spoke on his campaign of "Faith, Family, and Freedom". RED POST produced over 7 videos for the event.
January 2006 RED POST became flooded with DVD and CD duplication orders this month from many of our clients. We are proud to say that we were able to get all orders out on-time, or in many cases ahead of schedule for both the large and small clients alike, despite a delay from our suppliers. We always try our hardest to be a company you can depend on for quality and efficency. RED POST was Proud to welcome sailing legend Gary Jobson, who stopped in for a voice-over session featuring his on-going news coverage of Virtual Spectator and world-wide racing events.
December 2005 Well it's the holiday season again. We're up to our usual end of the year preparations, as well as some mighty interesting projects. I'd like to mention how much fun it was to work with Video Legacies on helping to produce a holiday DVD that served as both a season's greetings for family and friends, and a company promotional for their fine work. Remember RED POST has some great video and DVD production packages. If you have ever thought of making a DVD out of your family videos, or sending out a video card, don't hesitate to call. Professional services are available for all your home video needs, with prices to accomodate virtually anyone. We will work with you to make a package that's both festive and affordable, and with quality you can't come close to on your home computer. From menus, to packing, to restoring your photos, we can make your vision a reality, all with the confidence that your treasured photos and videos are in very safe care. Finally, while we're here braving the cold and the snow, it's nice to know that someone out there is enjoying the golf course. That's just what is happening in the series of videos for Linkstyle International's "Putt for the Stars". We're following a series of competitions from resort to resort to benefit struggling entertainers and actors. National Audio Video and RED POST were enlisted to not only edit, but produce these videos as well; which involves the planning and coordination of shoots around the country. Well that's all I'll say for now, except have a magical holiday season and a great new year!
November 2005 Our one hour special "Food Secrets of Country Music Stars" premiered on Food Network. Hosted by our good friend Bobbie Eakes, the show aired 4 times, including a prime time slot and two weekend afternoon showings. Bobbie's other recent television appearances have her as the host of GAC's weekly Top 20 Countdown, a host at the Daytime Emmy Awards, numerous television interviews, and of course the soap opera "All My Children". We've also just gotten the go ahead to produce, once again, a very special "Year in Review" video for the American Association of Orthodontists. This fast-paced collage of events skillfully integrates both world and orthodontic events into a visual time capsule. Last years video was so well received that they demanded a repeat. This is just another prime example of the types of videos RED POST can produce to spice up your company's events and brand image.
October 2005 As you know, one of the major genres RED POST produces for is the convention circuit. Year after year we produce everything from welcome videos with convention highlights, to presentation supplements, to simple video introductions and bumpers and video tours of the city. These conventions are planned and produced far in advance, often by our very own Audio Visual Management Group, so that everything goes off on time and without a hitch. Well they can also deal with the unexpected. Such was the case with the National Black MBA Association when they were forced to re-locate their national convention at the last minute from New Orleans to San Diego. In addition, RED POST stepped in and helped to produce a slide show tribute to New Orleans for the conference. We all know of the devastating events resulting from Hurricane Katrina, and this project put them into perspective for all attendees. Our best wishes go out to all who were affected.
September 2005 Returning to RED POST once again was Actuality productions and Donna Hanover, who recorded narration for the entire 6th season of Fine Living's "Homes & Hideaways". Because the series producer needed to remain in California during the voicing sessions, a special arrangement was set up and the voicing was supervised via telephone, with video playback of the shows rough cuts in the booth for timing and reference. This allowed two way communication for all, while accommodating the most strict of deadlines and schedules. In addition, the audio was recorded onto DAT and straight into an Avid as well, allowing us to overnight the sessions directly to the series editors. They in turn were then able to go straight into editing without any tedious capturing or logging time. So if you have any special needs or concerns, don't be afraid to call us and ask questions. We're here to help and will find a way to meet or surpass your goals. We've also just completed a video for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. This video served as a tribute to plastic surgeons everywhere and the work they do to improve the lives of people who are disfigured, so they can regain a sense of normalcy. RED POST has extensive experience in building tribute and award videos, each uniquely customized to capture the true spirit of the subject. These videos are so well received the subjects often ask for copies to take home to their families. Come and see examples of what we can do for you too.
August 2005: We are knee deep in work on our one hour special entitled "Food Secrets of Country and Western Music Stars" for Food TV. Hosted by our beloved Bobbie Eakes, it is slated to air at 9pm on Saturday November 9th. In the continuing education and distance learning department, we are currently putting together a series of learning CD's and DVD's for the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Designed to assist students in passing the certification exams, these disks will contain a compilation of lectures and illustrated presentations shot on location, and offer them in an easily digestible and navigable format so students can learn at their own pace. If you are in need of on location seminar recording, online educational distribution and certification, or any educational production services, you can find more information about our vast experience and services at our National Audio Video / National Nursing Network Web site. Near future plans for the RED POST site will include more product samples and images to browse, showing off the quality of our work. Look for many more additions to our GOODIES page as well.
July 2005: Once again, another valuable and rewarding project this month. This production centers on a man who found himself on the 89th floor of the World Trade Center's tower one, when the plane hit just one floor above him in the 2001 attacks. Our production helps to convey the harrowing story of physical, and later emotional survival that struck, and still effects both him and his co-workers at the time. With an inspirational tone, he sets out to reassure his viewers that the human spirit is alive & well, and shall never diminish. On a business note, I wanted to tell you about a side of the production we don't normally stress. The majority of the products we make for our clients requires us to design everything from full color DVD disks, to professional but simple VHS labels, to glossy promotional packages and brochures. RED POST is constantly designing gorgeous printed as well as media-based artwork. We are currently gathering some samples to post on the site, but they're not ready yet as we're off handling more pressing issues. However you should feel free to E-MAIL us if you would like some samples right away. In the meantime, you can check out some of our digital manipulation samples found HERE. Often we are required to take a frame from a video or a still photo and turn it into a quality label. Being able to manipulate and re-touch images is thus essential to your development, and we do it with quality in a timely manner.
June 2005: Sometimes you find the most simple of projects to be the most rewarding. Other times you find a simple use for a video that can produce a most rewarding outcome. It's rare that you find both. So imagine how good it felt to help put together a professional looking video for a talented youth trying to make his mark college football. We put together clips from his banner high school career along with interviews from coaches, family and team members to help show off what he can do. The tape will be sent off to selected colleges around the country who are looking for top high school athletes as part of his admissions application. RED POST was there to provide a professional look and feel to his tape, giving his application one more boost, and help him to stand out from all the others. Consider adding a professional edge to your personal and home projects. We can work with you to create a memorable product at affordable rates.
May 2005: Bobbie Eakes new CD "Something Beautiful" was released nationally as the end of May and promptly hit the Billboard charts coming in at number 21 on the jazz lists. Look for it at all your major music retail stores, or Pop over to the 250 West Productions site and learn where to buy it online. Meanwhile production continues on the David Clayton Thomas (of "Blood, Sweat and Tears" fame) up coming CD and DVD release.
April: What a blur! Non-stop production on the convention front this month. If you are in need of convention coordination, multimedia organization and on-site recording services, pop on over and see what our Audio Visual Management Group can do for you, though personally I think the name says it all. It doesn't matter if you have a meeting for 10 or a convention for thousands, their knowledge and ethics can help you achieve your goals in style and grace, while their experience and professionalism will make it all run smoothly and without headaches.
March 2005: RED POST was honored to help with mastering and duplication of a recent DVD project for Globalvision, a media production organization specializing in world issues and human awareness. We're also hard at work on the convention scene once again, which hits full swing late April/early May. We're currently knee deep in producing videos for the ASCRS (American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery) Film Festival open (and an entry into the festival as well), and other convention videos for organizations such as ALA, AOTA, SLA and many more. We've also completed that huge DVD project for the American Association of Orthodontists, culminating in a first-run delivery of over 500 disks. Thanks to you all for your support. On a web site note: We've noticed that many computers were having trouble with delays due to running the javascript navigator on our site. As a result we have temporarily removed the Java until a solution can be found.
February 2005: 250 West Productions begins work on their next album, this time it's David Clayton Thomas, featuring the sounds of Philadelphia. David is best known as the man who headed up the band "Blood, Sweat & Tears". The album will be released later this year and will include many memorable period songs like "You Make Me Feel Brand New", "Love Train" and "If you Don't Know Me By Now", among others. Once again RED POST will create a companion DVD to be released with the album. National Audio Video is also gearing up for production of a one-hour special for the Food Network Focusing on the lifestyles and eating habits of well known Country & Western Stars.
