VIDEO EDITING
The Edit Rooms
RED POST features 2 state of the art Avid Media Composer Adrenaline systems, as well as an Avid Symphony suite. This setup allows for great speed and versatility, as well as High end features and true finishing capability. The edit rooms are spacious and inviting.
The Adrenaline systems are capable of working with analog and digital media at 1:1 10-bit size, and will shortly be capable of working with HD. Their unique configuration allows for the editing of uncompressed video through a single firewire port with multiple simultaneous output streams for composite, component, SD, and DV. Think Media Composer of the old days, supercharged with all available extras, working at super-fast speed.
The Symphony suite goes one giant step further, giving the user the additional benefits of playback of many un-rendered effects, expanded keying and color correction, multi-camera mode and expanded usability (including film editing). It also features advanced motion tracking and exclusive Symphony effects, including a complete set of Sapphire plug-ins for dazzling transitions and graphics.
The bottom line is that you're not sitting there wasting your time trying to find work-arounds to the less expensive (and less functional) edit machines that currently call themselves "professional." When you care enough about your project to use a better system, it will show.
The entire RED POST facility was designed from the ground up to be inter-operable and flexible. Shuttle style media drives, video and data connections, and a central machine room allow all rooms to work together, exchanging systems resources and media as needed. Our systems are capable of instant expansion as well, with the resources already in place to add two more work stations at a moments notice.

Logging and Screening
Various packages are available for logging and screening of tapes at RED POST. Screen with easy access to all your formats in the machine room, or log and preview in the comfort of a full edit suite. Our rooms have multi-format color balanced monitors, as well as overhead giant widescreen client monitors.
Music & Sound Effects Library
Should you require more resources than is normally at your disposal, RED POST has assembled a vast collection of music and sound effects, both royalty-free and needle-drop. We will help you select the best pieces for your project and work them seemlessly into your project.
Graphics & Animations
RED POST has compiled a wide variety of still and animated royalty-free graphics and backgrounds to help your product be more dynamic. Our team is highly experienced in compositing and manipulating logos, photos, and video so that they not only fit together seemlesly, but look like they were together from the very start.
High Society
RED POST can set up catering and/or food delivery for your edit sessions. Staff are always nearby to assist with questions and technical issues. We can also provide logging and assistant editor service as needed, just let us know. Other amenities include a client computer terminal, cable television, printing, faxing and delivery service, all of which can be arranged at any time. Finally, when you need to get out for a while, we're in the very heart of the city, with all the conveniences midtown can offer.

DUPLICATION
Formats
RED POST is happy to provide duplication services and format transfers for all your products. Just bring in your Digi-Beta, Beta SP, DV, VHS, S-VHS, CD, DVD, DAT, 3/4" U-matic, or audio cassettes and we'll send you home with as many copies as you need. Ask about our custom packaging and printing as well. Also, don't rule out the possibility of a DVD or Video CD just because you think it's out of your price range. We have a wide range of conversion and authoring packages; one of them is bound to fulfill your needs desires and still keep you on budget. See below for more details.
Quick Turnaround
Most small to medium-sized orders will see a 24-hour turnaround (larger orders may take longer). Same day service is also available for most orders. You may pick up your finished work, or we would be happy to to ship it to you.

CD & DVD CREATION
High Performance
Our CD and DVD authoring capabilities are fast becoming our most requested additional service! These days, nothing beats the quality, portability, compatability, interactivity and sheer coolness factor of a DVD. Our duplications are typically made on the most popular DVD-R format. However it is becoming apparent that all disks are not created equal. The latest reports state that many recordable disks these days are manufactured to last 20 to 100 years. In reality however many of them don't last more than 5! To help extend the life of your disks as much as possible, RED POST has taken the time to research the issue and will use only high-quality media from the best manufacturers in the business. Combined with our competitive pricing, we are the ideal choice for short to medium run duplications. (*sorry, we do not duplicate copy-protected DVD's)
Basic Encoding
If you have a project you would like to see on DVD, we offer a simple transfer process using our industry standard Pioneer PRV-LX1 recorder. This system allows us the versatility to accommodate the budget-conscious client as well as those who want a more in-depth creation. Our disks can be designed with varying degress of complexity and options. You may choose to autoplay the title sequence, a simple main or chapter menu, loop, set region code...the list goes on. We will work within your budget to create a disk that satisfies your desires.
Complete Authoring
If you have more of a creative need then consider our complete DVD authoring service. Sonic Reel DVD, a widely recognized prestigious product, is used to create a fully customized, interactive disk capable of multiple audio tracks, subtitles, advanced menus and Dolby 5.1 sound. Our designers can create a disk exactly to your specifications. If however you are not sure what you want, let us design it for you. We will use your video to create everything from the introduction screen to the DVD "amaray" case (the rectangular DVD box that store bought movies are typically packaged in) insert. Direct On-disk Printing
Do a little research, and you'll quickly learn that printing on a label, and then sticking that label onto your CD or DVD is not a good idea for many reasons. We have done away with that. There are currently two ways to print directly onto a CD and a DVD, and both have their advantages. RED POST can print single or full color high-quality images directly to your disk. If you're not sure what design you want, let us create it for you. Your product will look twice as professional and last years longer than a paper label disk.

Video Encoding
Media Cleaner XL is employed to convert your audio and video to almost any type of computer media file. However, having one of the top-rated systems to perform the encoding is not the only consideration. The transfer itself is the easy part. What we offer is the knowledge of HOW to transfer based on type, quality and content of source, versus file size, destination media and distribution compatability to get the best possible image and sound quality for your piece.
Interactive Media
Once your video and audio is converted, you won't just want to drop it onto a disk and hand it out. Everyone loves to get demo disks, but no one wants to have to hunt through them to get to the content. IMAGE MANIPULATION
Stills & Scanning
So you have a ton of old photos lying around getting beaten up and brown at the edges. Bring them to RED POST where we can scan them at high resolution, clean them up and put them onto a custom CD, DVD or tape for storage. We know your pictures are valuable, thus we handle all photos with the utmost care. We can work with everything from photographs to newspaper clippings, to negatives and transparencies. Archive to Disk
The best way to store digital copies of your photographs is on a CD or DVD. These disks can hold quality scans capable of making new prints virtually identical to the original photo. On the other hand, we can also create a disk capable of manual and automatic slide shows. If you want to get really fancy, we'll add frames, backgrounds, transitions, music and text for a truly unique experience. You can try the same with your home computer and store-bought software, but won't be half as pleased with the results.
Computer Re-touching & Manipulation
Well in this case, miracles CAN happen! Stills to Motion Video
Just because still images are all you have, it doesn't mean your video presentation has to be boring. Sometimes a slide show is not enough either. Thankfully, a more dynamic motion can be achieved in many ways. Zooming in or out of the slides, drifting them across the screen, and even separating the photo into foreground, middle and background (think the old 3-D Viewmaster images) are all options to add a whole new dynamic to your memories.
